Qualified CSS Written Test 2011
“The majority of men meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail.” ~ Napoleon
Farman Ullah Khan of Jaglote Gilgit, along with his two other friends namely Adil from Astore and Maqbool from Skardu qualified the written test of Central Superior Services (CSS -2011) under Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), Islamabad.
FPSC, Islamabad announced the CSS – 2011 results recently after nine months of conducting the examination. According to the official notification released by FPSC, only 9.7% of the appeared candidates could qualify this test i.e 13071 candidates applied for it, 9063 of the applied ones appeared and 882 candidates including 212 female candidates could qualify the written test. The said authority has notified the selected candidates to stay tuned for the upcoming medical, psychological tests and viva voce. Every year FPSC used to declare the said results by September of the year but this time the big number of candidates delayed the expected schedule.
Meanwhile, The Educure could reach a few of the appeared candidates from Gilgit-Baltistan in the said competitive examination and figured out three of the qualified candidates. Those who couldn’t make into it this time were pretty much determined to qualify next time and they also demanded the separation of Gilgit-Baltistan’s quota from FATA as both the areas differ in order to the availablity of resources and accessibilty of information.
Farman Ullah Khan spared his time to talk to The Educure and thanked OEC for timely congratulating and appreciating his efforts. ” I had a very good experience of attempting the papers of competitive exams as I was opinionated to qualify it and was determined to put all my efforts for a good preparation” , Farman said when he was inquired about his experience of the test. He said that the candidates must wisely decide in selecting their optional subjects as that has a greater role in good attempt.
Farman told us that he had qualified the written and Viva voce in CSS – 2009 as well but he couldn’t get selected due to his comapartively low aggregate marks but this year he is determined to join the civil services. When asked what would he suggest the other youngesters of Gilgit-Baltistan who want to be part of bureaucracy, he said that interested students of Gilgit-Baltistan should take the competitive exams as they have got much talent. ” I often wonder why our fellow students consider it a difficult examination and not dare to appear in it, though, it’s seemingly difficult but their perservence and smart hard work can benefit them”, he said.
Farman Ullah Khan is a graduate of Karakuram International University (KIU) Gilgit, who studied business administration there and thereafter appeared in the competitive examination by selecting his optional subjects as Arabic Literature, Psychology and Islamic Studies. He is no doubt , a good example for the hard working students of Gilgit-Baltistan. It’s to be mentioned here that CSS is the most competitive examination of Pakistan through which officers working at high positions in government get appointed . Every year this competitive examination is conducted in February or March of the year under FPSC and a huge number of brilliant students appear in it.
