Trends in IT and Importance of Volunteering with Mr. Shaukat Ali Khan
Organization for Educational Change (OEC) organized the session ‘Trends in IT and the Importance of Volunteering’ with Mr. Shaukat Ali Khan at Centangle on 31st December 2016. Mr. Shaukat Ali Khan has done his MS-CS with emphasis on IT Management and Strategic Change from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Karlskrona, Sweden. He’s Harvard Business School Certified Dynamic Manager and Leader. In addition, Mr. Shaukat Ali Khan is a goodwill partner of OEC and donor of the OEC U-grad scholarship. The session was arranged solely for OEC’s volunteers who have been giving services of their time and knowledge to OEC. Around 25 volunteers participated along with OEC’s x-president Mr. Khayam Baig, chairman of Monitoring and Advisory Council Mr. Imran Hunzai, current president Mr. Sikandar Baig and BOG’s of OEC and Centangle. The agenda of the session was to discuss and aware volunteers regarding current global opportunities in the IT sector and technological trends, planning for an international career, the importance of voluntary work (khidmat) and about how to achieve professional success-leadership development. Mr. Shaukat Ali Khan while sharing his personal experiences and examples and making the session more interesting discussed the above agendas and their importance not only in the present but in the future as well while keeping in mind their need and emerging importance globally as well as in our societies. For example, he said that the volunteer work really helped him to face some really difficult stages of his life. To get involved in voluntary work was his plus point which helps him when it comes to going to new places or public speaking.
